
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – basmati Rice
• 1/3 cup – Sugar
• 2 – Cloves
• 1 tbsp – Ghee
• 4 – chopped Almonds
• a few strands of Saffron
• a pinch of Cardamom
• 1/3 cup – Coconut
• 1 tbsp – condensed Milk (optional)
Method:
- Soak the rice in water for 15 minutes.
- Heat ghee, roast the almonds in it and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the rinsed rice and fry for a minute.
- Add 1 cup of water, cardamom, coconut, saffron, cloves and bring the mixture to boil.
- Simmer and cover with a lid. Cook until the rice is 90% done (approximately 10 minutes).
- Add sugar and condensed milk and mix well. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Garnish with the roasted nuts.
