Ingredients:

• 4 – fresh green peppers
• 1/4 cup – Bengal Gram dal
• 1/2 cup – Toor Dal
• 3 – red dry chillies
• 1/2 tsp – Asafoetida
• 2 tbsp – oil
• salt
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal

Method:

  1. Soak the Bengal gram dal and toor dal in water for an hour. Grind it well with chillies, salt and asafoetida. Grind it to a smooth paste.
  2. Add 2 tsp of oil and pour the paste onto a microwave dish. Cook on high for 4 minutes.
  3. Now finely chop the green peppers.
  4. Cook the green peppers in a kadai with one tsp of oil for about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Heat the rest of the oil in a non-stick pan. Add the mustard seed and the urad dal.
  6. Now add the cooked dal paste and the green peppers. Mix well. Cook it in a low flame. Remove it when it is well cooked.
  7. Serve it with hot rice.
