Ingredients:
• 3 cups – Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – powdered Jaggery (can be adjusted as per taste)
• 1/2 cup – grated Coconut
• 1/2 tsp – powdered Cardamom
• 1 pinch – salt
• Ghee to cook
Method:
- Pour the jaggery into a bowl with 2 tbsp of water.
- Boil for about 5 minutes or until the jaggery melts. Strain to remove the impurities and set aside to cool.
- Mix the wheat flour, salt, cardamom and coconut well.
- Add the jaggery mixture and combine well.
- Add enough water and keep mixing until you get a sticky and loose dough.
- Divide the dough into small balls.
- Heat a tawa, add few drops of ghee.
- Flatten the dough balls with your fingers on the tawa (use ghee if too sticky) and cook.
- Turn and cook the other side as well until brown.
- Serve hot.
