
Ingredients:
• ½ cup moong daal (soaked overnight and boiled in salted water)
• ½ cup bread, cubed and fried
• 100 gms. Tamarind
• 200 gms. Jaggery
• 1 tsp. chilli powder
• ½ cup cumin powder
• ½ cup curd
Method:
- Place tamarind, jaggery, cumin powder, chilli powder, salt and 1 cup water and cook till it thickens.
- When tamarind is cooked and jaggery is dissolved, remove from fire and strain. The chutney must be thick.
- While serving, mix together the boiled moong, fried bread croutons, and curd.
- Add tamarind chutney to taste. Croutons must be added only at the time of serving.
