
Ingredients:
• 1.5 cup – whole Wheat flour
• 1/4 cup – semolina
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – grated Jaggery
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 1 tsp – fennel powder
• 1/2 cup – grated Coconut
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 1/2 cup – warm Milk
• Oil for deep frying
• A pinch of baking soda (if required)
Method:
- Mix all the ingredients (except baking soda) with milk and knead into a stiff dough. Keep aside for 20 min.
- Cut into small pieces in desired shape and size.
- Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the thekuas in batches.
- Or mix baking soda while mixing the dough and bake the thekuas in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20 mins until golden on top.
- Dust with some icing sugar before serving.
