
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – Barley flour
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 1/4 tsp – salt
• 1 tsp – baking soda
• 1/2 tsp – baking powder
• 1/4 cup – unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 tbsp – vanilla extract
• 1/3 cup – Canola Oil
• 1 tbsp – Apple cider Vinegar
• 1cup – cold water
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degree F for a few mins.
- Grease generously the bottom and sides of a round baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
- Sift together the barley flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, sugar and salt, keep aside.
- Mix the vanilla extract, canola oil, vinegar, cold water in another bowl and gradually add it to the dry ingredients, don’t over mix the batter.
- Pour this batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 mins or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
- Cool it completely, remove the parchment paper and slice the cake.
