Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Toor Dal
• 3 – Red Chillies
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp – Jeera
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• Curry leaves
• 2 tbsp – Oil
• 3 cloves- Garlic

Method:

  1. Fry the toor dal till golden brown.
  2. Fry red chillies, urad dal and jeera till golden brown and add curry leaves.
  3. Grind roasted Toor dal with little water.
  4. When half done, add fried red chillies, jeera, salt and grind to a smooth paste.
  5. Fry few pods of garlic and add to the chutney.
  6. Goes well with rice, idli, and dosa.
