Ingredients:

• 125g – plain flour
• 300 ml – Milk
• 1 – Egg
• 1 tsp – baking powder
• 1/4 tsp – bicarbonate of soda
• 1 – pear; peeled, cored and grated
• 15g – melted Butter
• 1 tbsp – chocolate hazelnut spread
• Crushed nuts to sprinkle on top

Method:

  1. Beat together the egg and milk.
  2. Sift flour, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda in a separate bowl. Add the egg and milk mixture to the flour and make it into a smooth batter. Add the grated pears and finally add the melted butter and mix well.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan, pour round tablespoon full of batter in the pan. Cook at medium heat on both sides for about 2 to 3 minutes. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  4. To Serve:
  5. Arrange one layer of pancake, spread a thin layer of hazelnut spread, then arrange another layer of pancake and repeat. On top of the final layer of pancake, spread a thin layer of spread again and sprinkle with nuts.
