Ingredients:

• Vegetables carrot, cabbage, beans – 1/2 kg
• Onion – 2 to 3
• Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
• Green chilli – 3 to 4
• Coconut – 1/2
• Mustard Seed
• Oil

Method:

  1. Chop the vegetables finely
  2. Take a fry pan and splutter mustard seeds in oil
  3. Add finely chopped onion
  4. When the onion has turned light brown in colour, add 1 tsp turmeric powder, medium chopped green chilly and salt to taste.
  5. Thoroughly mix all these in the fry pan.
  6. Add grated coconut and mix well.
  7. Add the chopped vegetable and stir
  8. Add a little water and cook the vegetable till done, stirring at intervals
  9. Serve with chappathi or rice
