Ingredients:
• 250 gms – Split green lentils (without skin)
• 2 tbsp – Garlic, chopped
• 1 tbsp – Green chillies, chopped
• 2 inch stick – Cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1.5 cups – Spinach, washed, discard stems, finely chopped
• 3 tbsp – Oil
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Cook lentils in 750 ml of water alongwith salt, turmeric powder and cinnamon until soft. Add more water if required.
- Meanwhile heat oil in a pan and saute garlic until edges become pink.
- Add green chillies and saute for 30 seconds.
- Remove from heat. Add red chilli powder to the pan, and mix with the lentils alongwith the spinach, cook for 2 mins.
- Garnish and serve.
