Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Rice [any variety]
• A few sprigs – coriander
• 8-10 tbsp – Yoghurt
• 2-3 – tbsp oil
• 4 – Green chillies
• 1/4 tbsp – cumin
• 1/4 tbsp – Mustard Seed
• A pinch – asfoetida
• Salt to taste
• A pinch – Turmeric powder
• A little – Butter
• A small piece – Ginger
• 2-3 Cloves – Garlic
Method:
- Cook the rice, with the required amount of water
- After rice is done, transfer to a bowl
- Heat oil in a pan on medium flame
- To it add 4 cut green chillies, a pinch of asfoetida, 2-3 cloves of cut garlic, small pieces of cut ginger, cumin, mustard seeds, a pinch of turmeric powder and a little butter
- Leave it on the stove for about 2 mins or till the mustard seeds begin to crackle.
- Add this mixture to the cooked rice
- Now add 8-10 tbsp of plain yoghurt or curd and finally salt to taste.
- Mix well and decorate with chopped coriander
- Serve as a main or side dish
