
Ingredients:
• 8 fillets – Pomfrets or any other white fish, sliced
• 3 – Onions
• 6 slices – Garlic
• 4 – Red Chillies
• 6 – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Cumin
• 1 bunch – Coriander
• 4 large – Tomatoes
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric
• Juice of 1 Lemon
• 1 tsp – Salt
• 1/2 cup – Sweet oil
Method:
- Grind red chillies, cumin and turmeric and apply to the fish.
- Chop onions, green chillies, garlic.
- Wash tomatoes and chop fine.
- Heat oil and fry the fish in it on both sides, remove from oil and keep aside; in the same oil, fry onions till brown; then add chopped chillies, garlic, and tomatoes and 1/2 cup water.
- Bring to a boil, then place fried fish in it and simmer until the fish is cooked and the gravy is thick.
- Add lemon juice and serve, sprinkled with coriander.
