Ingredients:

• 3 tbsp – Tamarind paste
• 3 level tsp – Sugar
• 200 ml – Water
• 200 ml – Mixed chopped fruit
• 5 ml (1 level tsp) – Chilli powder
• 5 ml – Roasted Cumin seeds powder
• 1/2 level tsp – Black salt (sanchal)
• Salt

Method:

  1. Mix the tamarind paste, sugar and water and put on the boil.
  2. Boil for 3 minutes, then remove from the heat.
  3. Add the fruit, chilli powder, cumin seed powder and black salt.
  4. Season with salt.
  5. Makes about 300 ml.
