Ingredients:

• 2 tbsp – oil
• 2 tbsp – fresh Ginger root, peeled and grated
• 1/2 tsp – ground cumin
• 4 cups -water
• 2 cups – basmati Rice
• 2 tsp – salt
• 1 – Lemon

Method:

  1. In saucepan with medium heat, heat oil until very hot.
  2. Add ginger root, ground cumin and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add 4 cups water and bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in rice and salt.
  5. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 15 to 18 mins, until all water is absorbed and rice is tender.
  6. Stir in lime juice.
