Ingredients:

• 1 kg. mutton, cubed
• 1/4 fresh coconut, grated
• 1/4 drop copra, grated
• 2 tsp – Garam Masala
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 3 large onions, sliced
• 3 tomatoes, chopped
• 8 peppercorns
• 8 Cloves
• 8 Cardamoms
• 1 tbsp – Coriander seeds
• 1 tbsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 4 potatoes, peeled, halved 1/2 cup – oil
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat a little oil. Add cloves, cardamoms, coriander seeds, peppercorns.
  2. Add onions, garlic and ginger. Brown.
  3. Add both grated coconut and tomato.
  4. Roast till it is brown. Cool. Grind to a fine paste.
  5. Heat remaining oil.
  6. Add meat with powder spices and salt and stir fry till brown.
  7. Add the spice paste and 2 cups of water.
  8. Add potatoes and pressure cook for 15 mins. till done.
  9. Serve with roti.
