
Ingredients:
• 1 kg. mutton, cubed
• 1/4 fresh coconut, grated
• 1/4 drop copra, grated
• 2 tsp – Garam Masala
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 3 large onions, sliced
• 3 tomatoes, chopped
• 8 peppercorns
• 8 Cloves
• 8 Cardamoms
• 1 tbsp – Coriander seeds
• 1 tbsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 4 potatoes, peeled, halved 1/2 cup – oil
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat a little oil. Add cloves, cardamoms, coriander seeds, peppercorns.
- Add onions, garlic and ginger. Brown.
- Add both grated coconut and tomato.
- Roast till it is brown. Cool. Grind to a fine paste.
- Heat remaining oil.
- Add meat with powder spices and salt and stir fry till brown.
- Add the spice paste and 2 cups of water.
- Add potatoes and pressure cook for 15 mins. till done.
- Serve with roti.
