Ingredients:

• Lauki – 1
• Black Channa – 1/2 cup
• Onion – 1
• Ginger paste – 1 tbsp
• Grated Coconut -1/3 cup
• Milk – 1/2 cup
• Salt to taste
• Cumin seed – 1/2 tbsp
• Oil – 1tbsp.

Method:

  1. Soak black channa for 8-10 hours and pressure cook it till it is done.
  2. Peel and grate the lauki.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai and add the cumin seeds.
  4. When it splutters, add the onion and fry till golden brown.
  5. Then add the ginger paste and fry for a minute. Add the black channa, grated gourd and salt.
  6. Cook it till the gourd is done.
  7. Then add the grated coconut and milk.
  8. Let it boil for a minute and remove it from heat.
  9. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
