Ingredients:
• turkey, minced (makes 20 Meat balls) – 1 packet
• Onion white, medium size, finely chopped – 2
• coriander powder – 1.5 tsp
• Red Chilli powder – 1.5 tsp
• cilantro, finely chopped – 1 cup
• Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
• Jeera powder – 1 tsp
• cooking oil – 2 cups
• salt for taste
• Masala for Gravy:
• white Onion – 1.5
• Ginger – 1/2 inch
• Garlic – 6 pods
• Cloves – 2
• Cinnamon stick – 1
• Tomato – 1
• cooking oil – 1 tbsp
• Mint chopped – 1 tsp
• Coconut Milk – 2 tbsp
• Cilantro
Method:
- In a bowl add ground turkey, turmeric, salt, cilantro, jeera powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and finely chopped onions.
- Mix well and make into small lemon size meat balls.
- Fry to golden brown in a deep frying pan and keep it aside.
- For gravy:
- Fry all the above ingredients in oil to an light golden brown.
- Grind them into a fine paste.
- To this add red chilli powder, coriander powder.
- This mixed masala must be about size of lemon.
- In a pressure cooker, put ground masala paste, add 2 tbsps of water, salt and chopped mint.
- When masala boils add turkey meat balls.
- Add a little coconut milk before closing the pressure cooker lid.
- Cook until 2 whistles.
- Reduce heat and let it cool.
- Transfer into a serving bowl.
- Garnish with fresh cream or grated cheese and cilantro as for your taste.
- Serve hot with Rice or Naan.
