
Ingredients:
• 500 g – Rice flour
• Coconut Milk – as required
• 500 g – Rice flour
• 75 g – Urad Dal
• 75 g – Sugar
• 1 tsp – Cardamom powder
Method:
- Wash and soak dal in water for about 5 hours.
- Drain and grind to a smooth paste. Mix with flour and enough coconut milk to make a soft and pliable dough.
- Put 3 cups of water in sugar and prepare a syrup of one-thread consistency.
- Put in cardamoms, remove from fire and keep it warm.
- Now take small pieces of dough and flatten out on a fork, then roll each piece off so that the design of the fork will be imprinted on it.
- Deep fry till crisp and golden, drain and put into the syrup and mix them thoroughly.
- Now separate each kalkal and place them on a clean plate, leaving them to turn dry and hard. You can store them in an air-tight container.
