Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Maize flour (Yellow cornmeal)
• 2-3 – Garlic Cloves (minced)
• 2 tbsp – Curd
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/8 tsp – Baking soda
• Salt to taste
• Water as required
• Oil to Deep Fried.

Method:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a big mixing bowl.
  2. Mix well to make a hard batter by adding water as required.
  3. Cover with a cling wrap and keep it aside for an hour.
  4. Apply water on both your palms and take a spoonful of batter to form a tikki shape.
  5. Now heat oil in a deep-frying pan.
  6. Slide the tikkis into a pan, add 4-5 at a time.
  7. Deep Fried till golden brown and crisp on both the sides.
  8. Serve hot with chutney.
