Ingredients:
• Grated unripe Mango – 1 cup
• Basmati Rice – 2 Cups
• Oil – 2 tbsp
• Salt – As per taste
• Urad Dal – 1/4 tsp
• Jaggery – 1/2 tsp
• Bengal Gram – 1/4 tsp
• Peppercorn – 1/4 tsp
• Cumin seeds -1/4 tsp
• Grated Coconut – 2 tbsp
• Green chillies – 3-4
• Coriander leaves for garnishing
• For Seasoning:
• Mustard Seeds – 1/4 tsp
• Asafetida – 1 pinch
• Turmeric – 1 pinch
• Urad Dal -1/4 tsp
• Bengal Gram dal -1/4 tsp
• Groundnuts – 2 tsp
• Curry leaves
Method:
- Cook basmati rice and keep it aside.
- Dry roast the dals, cumin seeds and pepper corns. Powder them in a blender.
- Add the remaining ingredients and blend it thoroughly to a paste-like consistency.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the seasoning ingredients.
- Mix the cooked rice with the seasoning and the paste thoroughly.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
