Ingredients:
• 1 – medium cabbage, shredded
• 1/2 – tomato, chopped
• 1/2 – medium capsicum, chopped
• 1 stalk – Curry leaves
• 2 – green chillies, slit
• 1 tbsp – coriander leaves, chopped
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Coriander seed powder
• 2 to 3 pinches – Asafoetida
• 1/2 tsp – Sugar
• 1/2 tsp – Lemon juice
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal grains
• 1 tbsp – oil
• salt to taste
Method:
- Wash cabbage, drain. Pour oil in a microwave bowl. Put green chilli, curry leaves, urad dal, asafoetida.
- Microwave for 20 seconds, remove.
- Add cumin seeds, cabbage, return to microwave.
- Microwave on high for 4 minutes.
- Sprinkle all masalas, tomato, coriander, salt, sugar.
- Microwave on high for 4 mins.
- Remove, add lemon juice, stir.
- Cover and allow to stand for 2 mins before serving.
