Ingredients:

• Tilapia – 4 boneless and skinless slab
• Mustard – 6 tsp paste, not watery
• Ginger, grated – 2 tsp
• Onion – 1, medium, cut into small pieces
• Gram flour paste with 1 tsp of Turmeric powder and salt – for dipping stuffed fish
• Green chillies – as preferred small pieces
• Salt according to taste
• Oil – 6 tbsp
• Some toothpicks

Method:

  1. Take the fish slabs. Place them on a cutting board and beat them smoothly.
  2. Next, mix mustard paste, ginger, onion, salt and chillies.
  3. Put the paste at one end of fish slab and fold it or roll it.
  4. Then deep them in gram flour paste and fry them in low flame with a lid half open.
  5. If fully covered, steam will form and water may splutter out.
  6. Serve when done.
  7. Best when eaten with basmati rice. Eat by mixing mustard paste with rice.
  8. Add 2 tsp of mustard oil in mustard paste if you want it more pungent.
