Ingredients:
• Plantain flower – 1 big.
• Onion – 100 gms.
• Green chillies – 6.
• Coconut (grated) – 1 small cup.
• gram dal – 100 gms.
• Ginger – A pinch.
• aji-no-moto – A pinch.
• coriander leaves.
• Mint leaves.
• asafoetida.
• salt to taste.
Method:
- Chop plantain flower and cook in water till it is half done. Drain and keep aside.
- Soak gram dal for one hour and grind coarsely.
- Chop onion, green chillies and ginger evenly.
- Mix all the above and make into a thick batter.
- Spoon it into batter and deep fry.
- Serve hot with onion chutney.
