Ingredients:

• 1 – Plantain
• 1 – Onion
• 1 tbsp – Coconut (grated)
• Curry leaves – a few
• Coriander leaves – 3 sprigs
• 2 – Green chilli
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tsp – Channa dal
• 1/2 tsp – mustard

Method:

  1. Cut the plantain into two pieces without removing the skin and boil it for exactly 5 mins.
  2. Remove the skin and grate it and keep it aside.
  3. Heat a tsp of oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds. When it sputters, add curry leaves, urad dal, channa dhal, chopped onions, diced chillies and fry till the onion turns golden brown.
  4. Once done, reduce the flame and add the grated plantain, salt and lemon juice.
  5. Mix well and garnish with fresh grated coconut and coriander leaves. Serve.
