Ingredients:
• 1 – Plantain
• 1 – Onion
• 1 tbsp – Coconut (grated)
• Curry leaves – a few
• Coriander leaves – 3 sprigs
• 2 – Green chilli
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tsp – Channa dal
• 1/2 tsp – mustard
Method:
- Cut the plantain into two pieces without removing the skin and boil it for exactly 5 mins.
- Remove the skin and grate it and keep it aside.
- Heat a tsp of oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds. When it sputters, add curry leaves, urad dal, channa dhal, chopped onions, diced chillies and fry till the onion turns golden brown.
- Once done, reduce the flame and add the grated plantain, salt and lemon juice.
- Mix well and garnish with fresh grated coconut and coriander leaves. Serve.
