Ingredients:

• 1 litre – Milk
• 200 g – Sugar
• 2 tsp – sweet curds

Method:

  1. Add 125 g of sugar to the milk and boil on a high flame for 10 min, stirring constantly.
  2. Place the remaining 75 g of sugar in a heavy-bottomed pan with 2 tbsp of water and melt on a low flame. Allow the mixture to become dark brown in colour.
  3. Add this sugar mixture gradually to the boiled milk and boil again for 5 mins.
  4. Cool the mixture to lukewarm.
  5. Add the curd and mix well.
  6. Cover and allow to set for 6-8 hours.
  7. Serve chilled.
