Ingredients:
• Soya flakes – 1 cup
• Oil – 1/4 cup
• Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp each
• Chilli powder – 1.5 tsp
• Garam Masala powder – 1/2 tsp
• Grated Coconut – 1/4 cup
• Channa gram dhal – 1/4 cup (cooked with salt and turmeric)
• Onions – 1, finely chopped
• Egg – 1
• Salt – to taste
Method:
- Put the soya in hot water for around 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan. Fry the onions for a few seconds and add ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder and the dal. Fry well.
- Add soya and fry again.
- Now add the coconut and fry till it is dry.
- Add salt. Allow the mixture to cool.
- Put it in a mixer and mix in an egg.
- Make small balls and flatten a little.
- Deep-fry these kebabs in hot oil.
- Serve with rice, chapatti or biriyani.
