Ingredients:

• Soya flakes – 1 cup
• Oil – 1/4 cup
• Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp each
• Chilli powder – 1.5 tsp
• Garam Masala powder – 1/2 tsp
• Grated Coconut – 1/4 cup
• Channa gram dhal – 1/4 cup (cooked with salt and turmeric)
• Onions – 1, finely chopped
• Egg – 1
• Salt – to taste

Method:

  1. Put the soya in hot water for around 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the onions for a few seconds and add ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder and the dal. Fry well.
  3. Add soya and fry again.
  4. Now add the coconut and fry till it is dry.
  5. Add salt. Allow the mixture to cool.
  6. Put it in a mixer and mix in an egg.
  7. Make small balls and flatten a little.
  8. Deep-fry these kebabs in hot oil.
  9. Serve with rice, chapatti or biriyani.
