Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Chicken breast
• 1 – Onion, chopped
• 1/2 tsp – Fennel seed powder
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seed powder
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 2 stalks – Coriander leaves
• Curry leaves
• 2 tsp – Oil
• 1 pinch – Turmeric powder
• Salt as per taste
• 1 cup – Idly batter
• Oil for greasing
Method:
- Grind the chicken pieces in a food processor.
- Heat oil in a pan add the onion pieces and saute until they turn translucent.
- Add chicken pieces to the onion and stir them until they cook well.
- Add fennel seed powder, cumin seed powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt and red chilli powder.
- Stir everything well, simmer, and add half cup of water and cook until the oil separates from the chicken masala.
- Add coriander pieces, curry leaves and put off the stove, keep aside and let it cool.
- Grease the idli plates, pour 1/4 of the plate with idly batter, add one tsp of chicken masala to the idly batter.
- Pour another 1/4 of idly batter on the top; spread it to cover the chicken masala.
- Cook these idlis for 10 minutes in high flame.
- Serve them hot with chutneys and sambar.
