Ingredients:
• 3 cups – Whole Wheat flour
• 1 cup – Curd
• 1 tsp – Ajwain seeds (crushed)
• Salt
• For stuffing:
• 2 cups – Green peas, cooked and mashed
• 1 – Big onion, chopped
• 3 – Green chillies, chopped
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• Curry leaves
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Oil
• Salt
Method:
- Put the wheat flour, crushed ajwain seeds and salt together in a bowl, add the curd, water (if needed) and knead everything to a stiff and smooth dough.
- Keep aside for half an hour.
- Meanwhile heat enough oil, splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- Immediately add the chopped onions, chopped green chillies; saute everything until onions turn translucent.
- Add the cooked and mashed green peas, turmeric powder and salt, saute everything for few minutes.
- Put off the stove and keep aside, until it cools.
- Make medium sized balls from the dough, flatten them into small circles with the rolling pin.
- Add enough peas masala and cover the masala by sealing the edges of dough.
- Dust with all-purpose flour and roll them gently into parathas.
- Heat a tawa, drizzle few drops of oil and cook the parathas, both sides
- Serve hot with any sort of side dish.
