Ingredients:
• 4-5 – Tomatoes
• 2 – medium Onions
• 5 – Green chillies
• 1 tbsp – gram flour (mixed in lukewarm water without lumps)
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 3 glasses – water
• Salt to taste
• For seasoning:
• 1/4 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 2 tbsps – Channa dal
• 1/2 tbsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 sprig – Curry leaves
• 1/4 tsp – Asafoetida
Method:
- Chop the onions, tomatoes and green chillies (not too finely though).
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add the seasonings in the following order: hing, cumin, channa dal, urad dal, mustard seeds, and curry leaves.
- Once they splutter, add the onions and fry them till they turn soft. Then add the tomatoes and green chillies.
- Once they soft, too, add the water, turmeric, chilli powder, salt, and let it cook.
- 5 mins before you remove from heat, add the gram flour mixed in water. Mix well and serve.
