Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Rice
• 1/2 cup – moong dal
• Vegetables like carrot, beans and peas
• 1 tsp – Ghee
• 1 inch – Ginger
• 1 pod – Cardamom
• 2 – Cloves
• 1 – small Cinnamon stick
• A pinch of Asafoetida
• Curry leaves
• 1/2 tsp – cumin
• 1/2 tsp – pepper powder
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cook rice along with moong dal, vegetables and salt.
  2. Heat ghee, add cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, pepper powder, cumin, grated ginger and curry leaves.
  3. Add the seasoning to the rice, mix well and serve.
