Ingredients:
• Yam – 500 gm
• Rice flour – 2 tsp
• sour curds – ½ cup
• green chilies – 2
• Garlic – 4 flakes
• Ginger – 2 cm
• pepper Corns – ½ tsp
• Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
• oil to deep fry
• salt to taste
Method:
- Wash and peel the yam. Cut them into fingers, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Boil in water till soft but not mushy. Drain well.
- Grind remaining ingredients except the oil to a paste.
- Toss yam fingers in this mixture and keep covered for 15-30 minutes.
- Deep fry the fingers in batches in hot oil till golden brown.
- Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot.
