
Ingredients:
• 3 cups – cooked Rice
• 3-4 – tomatoes, chopped into small pieces
• 1/4 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/4 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/4 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1/4 tsp – Channa Dal
• 1 – Dried red chilli
• 1 tsp – Ginger- Garlic paste (optional)
• Salt
• Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
Method:
- In a large pan, heat some oil.
- When the oil is hot, cook the cumin, mustard, urad dal, channa dal and red chilli until they start sputtering.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste, the chopped tomatoes, garam masala powder and turmeric powder.
- Cover and cook for about 3 minutes.
- Now add the cooked rice and some salt and mix it so that the tomato base coats the rice fully.
- The tomato mixture should not be too watery otherwise the rice will become soggy.
- If you have some cilantro, chop and add for extra taste.
