Ingredients:
• 1/4 kilo – tender Okra
• Oil to fry
• 1 cup – yogurt
• 1/2 cup – Butter milk
• 5 – Green chillies
• Seasoning Agents:
• 2 pinches – Asafoetida
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Cut the okra into 3-4 mm thick slices. Chop the green chillies
- Beat the yogurt and butter milk, add salt to taste, along with chopped chillies.
- Heat 30 ml of oil in a kadai and add seasoning to it.
- When mustard seeds splutter, add okra and fry till they turn red
- Mix the turmeric and chilli powder into the fried okra
- Cool this for 5-7 mins
- Soak the okra in the beaten yogurt mixture for 15 mins
- Serve with chapattis.
