
Ingredients:
• 3 cups – Bread flour or all-purpose flour
• 1 tbsp – Active Dry yeast
• 1/2 cup – Milk (lukewarm)
• 3 – Egg yolks
• 1/4 cup – Sugar + 1 tsp – Sugar
• 1 tsp – Salt
• 70 g – Butter
• 1 – Egg yolk + 1 tsp – Milk (for brushing)
• Nutella as per need
Method:
- Mix the yeast with a teaspoon of sugar and salt with the lukewarm milk.
- Keep aside until the yeast turns foamy.
- Meanwhile take the flour, egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl.
- Add the foamy yeast and knead in to a soft dough.
- Now add the butter and knead everything for 10 minutes.
- Arrange the dough in a bowl covered with a towel.
- Keep aside for at least for 2 hours until they double in volume.
- Knead the dough again for a few minutes.
- Divide the dough into two balls.
- Roll the balls into two rectangles.
- Gently spread the nutella generously over them.
- Roll them tightly as a log and slice the logs in to 4 big slices.
- Arrange them on a greased baking sheet lined over two loaf moulds.
- Keep the moulds in a warm place for half an hour.
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix the egg yolk with milk. Now brush the uncooked brioche generously with the mixture and bake them for 25-30 minutes until the crust turns golden brown.
- Cool it completely on a wire rack. Enjoy!
