Ingredients:
• 1 small – pineapple.
• 2 tbsp – sugar.
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder.
• 3 tsp – oil.
• 1 tsp – chilli powder.
• 1 tsp – flour.
• Salt to taste.
• Mix together: (Masala mixture).
• 2 tsp – cumin seeds.
• 2 tsp – aniseed.
• 2 tsp – mustard seeds.
• 1/2 tsp – Fenugreek seeds.
• 2 tsp – Onion seeds|
Method:
- Clean and cut the pineapple into small pieces. Heat oil and add half the quantity of the masala mixture.
- Then add pineapple pieces, turmeric, chilli powder, salt, sugar and 2 cups of water. Cook till the pineapple is done.
- Add more water if required while cooking the pineapple.
- Mix the maida with some water to a paste and add this to the chutney.
- Dry roast the rest of the masala mixture on a dry tawa one by one and powder them coarsely. Add to the chutney.
