Ingredients:

• 2 cup – all-purpose flour (maida)
• 1/2 kg – Potatoes
• 1/2 cup – Wheat flour (atta)
• 2 tsp – dry Methi(Uluva)leaves
• 1/4 tsp – baking powder
• 1/2 tsp – black pepper
• 1 tsp – salt
• 2 tbsp – Curd
• Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Boil the potatoes and keep them aside.
  2. Mix together maida, wheat flour, baking powder, black pepper, salt, dry methi leaves and curd.
  3. Grate the boiled potatoes and add it to the above mixture.
  4. Knead the above into a dough.
  5. If green methi is not available then you can add yellow methi (ground).
  6. Make pooris from the above dough.
  7. Fry them in oil.
  8. Serve hot.
  9. Makes 25-30 pooris.
