Ingredients:

• Batter – 6 cups
• Potatoes – 2
• Onion – 1
• Green chilli – 1
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
• Oil – 1 tbsp
• Salt – to taste
• For Seasoning:
• Mustard – 1 tsp
• Curry leaves

Method:

  1. Heat oil in kadai. Add mustard to it.
  2. When it splutters add curry leaves.
  3. Add chopped onions and sliced chillies.
  4. Saute well and add mashed potatoes, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt.
  5. Mix well to make a smooth paste so that it makes a good filling.
  6. Pour a little batter in Idli plate and place the filling in the centre.
  7. Pour some more batter to cover the filling.
  8. Steam it and serve with sauce or any side dish of your choice.
