
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – red kidney beans, soaked overnight
• 1/2 cup – paneer, grated
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 1 tsp – ginger, grated
• 2 – green chillies, chopped
• 1 tsp – Fennel seed powder
• 2 tbsp – coconut, grated
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Coriander leaves
• 1/4 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/4 tsp – black gram
• 1 – dry Red Chilli
• 1/4 tsp – Chickpea
• Salt to taste.
• Oil as required
Method:
- Pressure cook red kidney beans with 1/4 tsp of salt and let it whistle thrice.
- Strain the cooked water and smash the cooked red kidney bean with your finger.
- Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds, black gram, chickpea and red chilli.
- Add the onion, green chilli pieces, ginger and turmeric powder and cook till onion turn translucent.
- Now add the smashed red kidney beans with enough salt and stir them continuously to blend well with the onions.
- Simmer for a while.
- Finally add the grated paneer and grated coconut to the red kidney beans and stir occasionally to help the ingredients blend well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
