Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Whole Wheat flour
• 1 cup – rolled oats
• 1/4 cup – Spinach puree
• 1/4 cup – Olive oil
• 2 tbsp – Active Dry yeast
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• 1 tbsp – Salt
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli flakes
• 1 tbsp – Flax seeds
• 1 tsp – Dry Parsley leaves
• 1/4 tsp – Pepper powder
• 8 – Babybel cheese or any other cheese of your choice
• all – purpose flour for dusting

Method:

  1. Combine the oats, whole wheat flour, red chilli flakes, flax seeds, dry parsley leaves, pepper powder in a large bowl.
  2. Meanwhile in a cup of lukewarm water, add the active dry yeast, sugar and salt and let this mixture sit for 5 minutes, to get a foamy yeast.
  3. Add this foamy yeast, olive oil and spinach puree to the flour and spice mixture and knead into a soft and smooth dough.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, in a warm place for an hour and keep covered until it doubles in volume.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  6. Knead the dough again, dust with all-purpose flour and divide them into 8 medium sized balls.
  7. Knead the balls one by one, flatten them with your palms, place a babybel cheese, bring the edges together and roll them into round buns.
  8. Place the cheese stuffed buns over a baking sheet lined over a baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the crust turns golden brown.
  9. Serve warm.
