Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Beaten Rice (poha)
• 1/4 cup – crushed groundnuts
• 1/4 cup – Coriander leaves
• 1 stalk Curry leaves chopped
• salt to taste
• 5-6 Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Lime juice
• 1.5 tbsp – oil
• 2 Onions chopped
• 1 tomato, chopped finely
• 1 small Potato chopped
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp each cumin & mustard seeds.

Method:

  1. Wash poha till clean.
  2. Drain water sprinkle a handful of clear water and keep aside.
  3. After 15 mins loosen the poha gently, and break lumps with fingers.
  4. Add salt, lime juice, turmeric powder, red chilli powder.
  5. Mix well.
  6. In a heavy saucepan, heat oil, add seeds and then potatoes.
  7. Stir for 2-3 mins.
  8. Add onion, chillies and curry leaves.
  9. Stir and fry onions till tender.
  10. Add tomatoes and simmer for 2 mins.
  11. Add crushed groundnuts.
  12. Add poha. Mix very well.
  13. Stir gently every now and then.
  14. Cook for 5-7 mins till poha are warm.
  15. Transfer to serving dish and garnish with coriander.
  16. Serve hot with tea or coffee.
