
Ingredients:
• 6 – Lemons
• 1/4 cup – Red Chilli powder
• Salt
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• Oil
• To roast and grind:
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Fenugreek seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Asafetida powder
Method:
- Wash and pressure cook the lemons without adding water. Cook for two whistles.
- Cool it completely and slice the lemons into small pieces.
- Add the red chilli powder and salt, toss until the lemon quarters get well coated.
- Meanwhile dry roast all the ingredients given under -to roast and grind-, and grind into a fine powder.
- Heat enough oil, splutter the mustard seeds, and add the spiced lemon quarters and ground powder.
- Cook until they thicken, and remove from heat.
- When it is completely cooled, store in a bottle.
