
Ingredients:
• Rice – 2 cups
• Tomatoes- 3, chopped
• Green chillies- 6, chopped
• Onions- 3, chopped
• Mint – 3 big bunches
• Patta – 1/2 inch
• Cloves 2
• Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
• Peas – 100 g
• Water – 3.5 cups
Method:
- Wash the rice and drain the excess water.
- Heat oil in a pan and saute the rice slightly.
- Grind mint into a smooth paste.
- Heat oil In a pressure cooker and saute the onions and green chillies until the onions turn pink.
- Then add the peas, the tomatoes, the ground mint, patta, cloves, fennel seeds, salt and the required amount of water.
- When the water starts boiling, add the rice.
- Cook until the rice is tender.
- Serve hot with raita.
