Ingredients:

• 2- Potatoes (big)
• 1/2 cup – Onion (chopped)
• 1- Tomato (chopped)
• 1 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1/2 tsp – Fennel seed powder
• 2 tbsp – Coconut Milk
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 5- Curry leaves
• Salt to taste
• Oil.

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a kadai and saute the onions and the tomatoes, saute for a while. Then add the ginger garlic paste, fennel seed powder, saute until the oil separates.
  2. Meanwhile cook the potatoes and mash them slightly.
  3. Add the mashed potatoes, red chilli powder and salt to the cooking masala and simmer for few minutes.
  4. Now add the coconut milk and curry leaves to the potatoes.
  5. Cook the potatoes until the oil separates.
  6. Serve this potato thokku as a side dish for rice and rotis.
