Ingredients:

• Wheat flour – 2 cups
• Soji (rava) – 1/2 cup
• Frozen or fresh Spinach – 1 cup
• Chilli powder – 1-2 tsps
• Ginger Garlic paste – 2 tbsp (optional)
• Hing (asafoetida) – 1/2 tsp
• Salt – as per taste
• Oil for the dough – 2 tbsp
• Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Crush the spinach leaves if necessary.
  2. Take wheat flour and soji, add 2 tbsps of oil, chilli powder, salt, hing and the ginger-garlic paste.
  3. Then knead the dough along with the spinach. Make sure it is not very soft (like roti dough).
  4. Set aside for 15-20 mins. Make small balls of the dough and roll them like you would do for regular poories.
  5. Deep fry them in oil.
  6. Serve hot with pickle, yogurt or tomato ketchup.
