
Ingredients:
• 2 – 4 tsp-pepper powder (approx.).
• 1.5 cups-toor dal (cooked).
• 1 tsp- Brown sugar or jaggery.
• salt.
• 1 tsp each- Mustard Seeds and jeera.
• 1 tsp- Tamarind paste.
Method:
- Heat a tbsp of oil in a vessel and add mustard and jeera to it. When the mustard seeds start to crackle, add the toor dal and some water.
- Now make a paste of tamarind, pepper powder and salt with a little hot water.
- Add it to the tuvar dal and stir well.
- Now, add the brown sugar, chopped cilantro and boil well.
- Also, if desired add lime juice.
- Drink as soup or mix with plain rice.
