Ingredients:
• 1 – large Pomfret (slit in the middle)| For rechand masala:
• 5-6 – large chillies.
• 1 stick – cinnamon.
• 1 tsp – cloves.
• 1 tsp – peppercorns.
• 1 tbsp – ginger-garlic paste.
• Goan toddy and Vinegar as required.
• 1 tsp – jeera.
• Cooking oil for frying.
• 2 – medium onions.
• 2 – medium tomatoes.
• 1 tsp – Lime juice.
• Salt to taste.
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder.
Method:
- Blend all the ingredients for rechand masala.
- Add spoonful of Goan toddy while blending to make the mixture thick.
- Take oil in a deep frying pan and fry the ground masala.
- Add chopped onions and tomatoes to the mixture and fry the mixture till the onions turn deep brown.
- Marinade pomfret in lime juice, salt and turmeric powder.
- Stuff the fried masala into the slit pomfret and fry it on a low flame.
- Spread some leftover rechand masala and serve.
