Ingredients:
• Medium- sized Prawns – 20- 25.
• Medium- sized Onions – 2.
• Tomato – 1.
• Potato – 1.
• Ginger paste – 1/2 tsp.
• Garlic paste – 1 tsp.
• Dhania- Jeera powder – 1 tsp.
• Garam Masala powder – 1 tsp.
• Red Chilli powder – 2 tsp.
• Turmeric powder – 1 tsp.
• Tamarind juice – 1 tbsp.
• Coriander and grated Coconut – for garnish.
• Salt – as per taste.
Method:
- Clean the prawns and marinate them with little bit of turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt for about 15-20 mins.
- Finely chop onions, tomato and potato and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add onions and potato along with some salt.
- Add ginger and garlic pastes.
- Saute the contents on low flame till it leaves oil on the sides and the potato pieces are cooked.
- Add the chopped tomato and saute again.
- Then add garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhania jeera powder and saute the mixture.
- Add prawns, cover the pan with a lid and cook on low flame.
- After the prawns are cooked, add the tamarind juice.
- Finally, garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and freshly grated coconut.
- Serve it hot with chapattis or bread.
