Ingredients:

• 250 gms – Paneer/Cottage Cheese, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
• 2 – Bell peppers, cubed
• 4 sticks – Spring onions, chopped
• 2 – Green chillies, sliced
• 1 tsp – Peppercorns / Pepper powder
• 1 tsp – Ginger, finely chopped
• 4 – Garlic cloves, chopped
• 1 tsp – Corn starch/ Corn flour
• 3 tsp – Oil
• 1 – Tomato, diced
• 1 – Onion, sliced
• Salt as per taste
• Tomato sauce
• Soy sauce

Method:

  1. Add a pinch of salt to the corn flour and toss the paneer cubes in it.
  2. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan, fry the paneer until it is golden brown on all sides. Transfer to another bowl.
  3. In the same pan add 1 more tsp of oil and fry the chillies and onion.
  4. Add garlic and ginger, fry until soft.
  5. Add bell peppers, fry for 1 minute, and add tomatoes and salt.
  6. Fry for another minute and finally add the paneer cubes.
  7. Add all the sauces and saute for some more time.
  8. Make a solution with 1 tsp corn flour and 90ml water.
  9. Add this to the paneer and let it thicken. Turn off the heat.
  10. Finally add freshly crushed peppercorns or pepper powder.
  11. Garnish with the spring onions.
  12. Serve hot with steamed rice.
