Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Cabbage (chopped )
• 1 cup – peas
• 2 cups – Rice
• 1 – Onion (chopped)
• 2 – Tomatoes (chopped)
• 2 tsp – Green chillies (chopped)
• 1 tsp – Ginger (grated)
• 1 – Cinnamon stick
• 1/2 tsp – Asafoetida
• 2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – paprika
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 2 tbsp – Olive oil

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add asafoetida, cinnamon stick and cumin seeds.
  2. Wait for popping and add ginger and onions.
  3. Fry onions till golden and add all spices and salt, peas, tomatoes and green chilli.
  4. Saute for 2 minutes and add cabbage in last, close lid and cook for 1 whistle.
  5. Serve hot with pickle, chutney or curd.
