Ingredients:
• 1 cup – besan (gram flour)
• 1/4 cup – Maida (all-purpose flour)
• 3 cups – Sugar
• 3 cups – Vanaspati ghee/oil
• 1.5 cups – water for syrup
Method:
- Mix maida and besan.
- Mix sugar and water and make a light syrup (not thick).
- In one vessel, heat the ghee till it starts bubbling.
- Add the maida and besan mix in the syrup and keep stirring. Avoid formation of lumps.
- Keep mixing the ghee in 3 batches.
- Once cooked, there will be bubbles forming on the mixture.
- Remove from fire and pour this mixture on a tray and spread.
- Cut it into pieces when hot.
